Daisy Award Presented to Nurse Liz Chaney

Outstanding members of the Ohio’s Hospice staff are recognized every quarter with the Bouquet of Recognition Awards for going above and beyond in advocating for and serving patients. The Daisy Award rewards remarkable care, clinical skills and extraordinary compassion in nursing.

Nurse Care Manager Liz Chaney, our newest Daisy Award recipient, was cited by families and a physician for outstanding care.

The office of Dr. Joni Koren expressed appreciation for the excellent care provided by Liz to one of their patients.  Liz was praised for taking good care of both the patient and her family, which was very meaningful to the patient’s spouse. In a separate communication, another patient family praised Liz as “a godsend to us in some bad times. We could count on her to listen and help.” And another patient family expressed appreciation on Facebook, saying “thank you to Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County for the special care they provided for my grandpa.  Liz Chaney was his nurse and I can’t say enough amazing things about her.  She became a member of our family in the few months that we knew her.  My grandpa looked forward to her visit every week.  She took great care of him.”

Congratulations to Liz and sincere thanks for your commitment to patients and families and to our hospice mission!
